Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) May 01, 2012

Wombat Security Technologies (Wombat), a leading provider of cyber security training solutions, announced the release of “Security Beyond the Office”, a new software training module that teaches employees how they can keep valuable data safe when working outside of their office. The newest module in a comprehensive line of software training solutions from Wombat, “Security Beyond the Office” is a powerful tool that corporate security officers can leverage to help combat the rise of security breaches caused by their end users.

While there is terrific convenience with today’s “always on” access to the Internet giving employees the opportunity to access work related documents and data outside of the office, this access presents a great risk to today’s businesses. By often choosing convenience over safety, employees that work remotely are becoming a big concern for companies and an open door for cyber criminals.

“In 2012 we’re already seeing a sharp increase in data breaches caused by employees who lost or leaked confidential company data,” said Perry Carpenter, Research Director at Gartner. “Gartner considers a behavior-change oriented information security awareness and training program to be an essential tool for all companies, regardless of size. Without one, serious IT risks may be overlooked.”

Employees have a responsibility to protect company assets, corporate data, and customer information at all times and should know the consequences if they fail to comply with information security policies. Developed using learning science principles, Wombat’s “Security Beyond the Office” software training module explains the risks of working remotely and then teaches employees how to work safely outside of their office.

Wombat’s engaging training helps employees practically apply learned concepts during an interactive training session that takes less than 10 minutes. When they make a mistake, or answer correctly, employees learn why – immediately – thereby reinforcing their learning and lengthening retention.

“By teaching employees how to make better and safer decisions when they are outside the boundaries of the office, “Security Beyond the Office” is a valuable tool in a company’s defense against the rise in cyber security attacks. Instead of relying on boring videos or presentations, Wombat’s training modules utilize interactive software and leverage learning science to change employee behavior,” said Joe Ferrara, President and CEO of Wombat Security Technologies.

Designed to address the most current information security traps, Security Beyond the Office teaches employees how to use free Wi-Fi safely, the risks of using public computers, and how to safeguard company equipment and information at home and on the road.

Wombat’s Security Training Platform

Security Beyond the Office is just one of the modules in Wombat’s comprehensive “Security Training Platform” that enables security professionals and administrators to tackle today’s most pressing cyber security issues including e-mail security, password management, social networking, smartphone/BYOD vulnerabilities, phishing and social engineering. Reporting capabilities in the Platform provide both aggregate and individual data to guide follow-up training programs and show improved results over time.

Security Beyond the Office is available today. For pricing and/or more information about this security awareness training module, or any one of Wombat’s award winning security awareness and training products, please visit http://www.wombatsecurity.com.

About Wombat Security Technologies

Wombat is an innovator in helping organizations combat cyber security attacks with uniquely effective software-based security awareness training solutions and a first of its kind anti-phishing filter. Wombat’s training methodology is based upon learning science principles and includes employee mock attacks with brief embedded training, as well as a full complement of 10-minute software training modules which significantly reduce an organization’s susceptibility to cyber-attack. The Company’s anti-phishing filter utilizes multi-layered predictive technology to catch significantly more phishing emails than leading anti-spam/anti-virus filters. Wombat is helping Fortune 500 customers, large government agencies and small to medium businesses in segments such as finance, banking, higher education, insurance, and consumer packaged goods strengthen their cyber security defenses.

Question by : I don’t know if this is a scam. I got an email stating about work from home. I’ll make a post to show you it?
Dear Sir/Madam,
Can you work as a mail dispatcher? I own a small shipping business
and I tend to operate a high cost of operation and I want to cut down my
expenses by employing someone in each state of USA apart from NY where I am,
someone who will be getting mails in bulk and open the bulk mail and dispatch
them in units to there final destinations in there respective states, for
example, the cost of sending each mail is $ 36.00 by UPS and we want to send
out 100 mails, that would be $ 3,600 which is too costly but we have a solution
whereby, we ship the whole 100 mails in one package at the rate of $ 600 to you
in your state and when you get it, you will open it and send the mail
individually through USPS which will be $ 7 to $ 10 each and you can see that we
will have a saving, $ 600 for bulk shipping plus $ 10 times 100 making $ 1,600,
you can see we have saved $ 2,000, so please I need you to work for me on a
part-time basis, and you will be paid $ 2,500 every month. You will be provided
with funds to pay freight forwarder, you will be provided with funds to pay
for USPS to dispatch the mails upfront, you will be provided with up to $ 1,500
to $ 7,500 as a running fund for dispatching the mails, sometimes, it may be
packages of goods that you will be receiving and sometimes you may be required
to pay for shipping and freight fees out of the funds we provide to you to pay
another freight forwarder when we need the service of another freight
forwarder, the items you will be re-mailing or shipping will include letters,
office materials and office equipments, home theater, electronics and some
other general consumer goods, I want to assure you that you will never use
your own money for any expenses and you are not require to buy anything to
begin the job,the job will only take 4 to 5 hours of your time in a week and
you can work whatever hours you want, the name of my Business is Fast Shipping
Enterprises . and I am located in new york city, NY, the job is very simple
once you have an address where you can accept mails and packages, and also
have the time to re-mail the mails and packages through USPS sometime through
some other freight forwarders, the mails and packages will contain gift cards,
letters, office materials and office equipments, home theater, electronics and
some other general consumer goods, you don’t need any much space, they are
packages you can put in your room, or in your garage. You will have to present
an ID either driver’s license or any other personal ID, all I wanted to ensure
is that you have an ID to show to the delivery man when packages will be
delivered to you and you have to show some sense of sincerity as you will be
entrusted with clients mails, packages and funds to utilize for re-mailing
expenses, please do let me know when you are ready to start and let me know if
you have all the requirements needed for the job, you need to provide your

Answer by Uprayup
I wouldn’t bother. Anything that seem too good to be true – Is too good to be true. Plllllllllleeeeeeeease I would never believe this! Times are too hard now for someone to come out of the “blue” with an offer like this.

Just the length of the letter made me tired. I guess they are really trying to get their point across. …..and always read in between the lines

Question by : Is this job e-mail from Empire Shipping Company a scam?
I just received an e-mail in response to a resume post I have on craigslist, and I’m not sure if it’s legitimate. It has several spelling and grammar errors, and just seems suspicious. The body of the e-mail reads as follows:

Can you work as a Logistic Personnel? I own a small shipping business and I tend to operate a high cost of operation and I want to cut down my expenses by employing someone in each state of USA apart from NEW JERSEY where I am,someone who will be getting mails in bulk and open the bulk mail and dispatch them in units to their final destinations in their respective states, for example, the cost of sending each mail is $ 10.00 by UPS and we want to send out 100 mails, that would be $ 1000.00 which is too costly but we have a solution whereby, we ship the whole 100 mails in one package at the rate of $ 200.00 to you in your state and when you get it, you will open it and send the mail individually through USPS which will be $ 5.00 to $ 6.00 each and you can see that we will have a saving, $ 800 for bulk shipping plus $ 6 times 100 making $ 500.00 or $ 600.00, you can see we have saved $ 8,000, so please I need you to work for me on a part-time basis, and you will be paid $ 350.00 every week.

You will be provided with funds to pay freight forwarder and you will also will be provided with funds to pay for USPS to dispatch the mails upfront, you will be provided with up to $ 3,400.00 to $ 4,000.00 as a running fund for dispatching the mails, sometimes, it may be packages of goods that you will be receiving and sometimes you may be required to pay for shipping and freight fees out of the funds we provide to you to pay another freight forwarder when we need the service of another freight forwarder, the items you will be re-mailing or shipping will include letters, office materials, office equipments and some other general consumer goods, I want to assure you that you will never use your own money for any expenses and you are not require to buy anything to begin the job,The job will only take 4 to 5 hours of your time in a week and you can work whatever hours you want, the name of my Business is EMPIRE SHIPPING COMPANY and I am located in NEW JERSEY.The job is very simple once you have an address where you can accept mails and packages, and also have the time to re-mail the mails and packages through USPS sometime through some other freight forwarders, the mails and packages will contain gift cards, letters, office materials and office equipments and some other general consumer goods, you don’t need any much space, they are packages you can put in your room, or in your garage. You will have to present an ID or driver’s license or any other form of ID, all I wanted to ensure is that you have an ID to show to the delivery man when packages will be delivered to you and you have to show some sense of sincerity as you will be entrusted with clients mails, packages and funds to utilize for re-mailing expenses, please do let me know when you are ready to start and let me know if you have all the requirements needed for the job, you need to provide your information as well in order to proceed further and send your Payment to you.

Is this a scam or what?

Best answer:

Answer by Loreli
SCAM. Don’t job hunt with craigslist. I tried, and nearly got hooked on a scam, and craigslist doesn’t have enough control to block posting by known scammers. Try using indeed.com

What do you think? Answer below!

San Jose, California (PRWEB) April 25, 2012

Follow us on LinkedIn – Lip care has emerged as an integral part of the daily routine in several countries worldwide and is often categorized as an impulse purchase item. The global market for lip care products registered excellent growth over the past several years. The tendency of consumers to shift to economical and feel–good cosmetics such as lipsticks from the luxury and branded personal care products during troubled financial times enabled manufacturers of lipsticks to garner healthy business even during the recent downturn. Female consumers increasingly prefer affordable and feel-good beauty accessories such as lipsticks to luxurious and expensive skin or beauty treatment as part of their regular regimen. Demand for Lip Care Products containing organic and natural ingredients has been on the rise over the last few years. A shift in the consumers taste from the usage of wax-based and petroleum based lip care products to the products containing organic ingredients such as hemp, vegan and shea among others is paving way for the launch of wide number of organic and natural lip care products.

Major growth drivers include increasing awareness among consumers about the need to protect lips from overexposure to the sun, increased usage of lip care products by men, and a deeper penetration of products. There is a constant demand for lip care products that offer exceptional benefits and features. Lip care manufacturers are producing new innovative products to gain a share in the niche market. Various other strategies adopted by manufacturers include reduction in the size of products, packaging innovations, or promoting the products to multiple users. In the lip care category, products that offer multi-functional benefits help to increase sales. Consumers usually look for products that are useful in conditioning and hydrating their lips. Blistex range of flavored lip balms fruit smoothies feature real fruit extracts. The products offer an SPF (sun protection factor) of 15 or above. A wide range of lip products that aid in curing fever blisters and cold sores are being offered to attract new consumers.

Over the last few years, lip care products have no longer remained an ambit of women, as men are also using more and more of cosmetics and toiletries. The rising demand from men has influenced several companies to roll out cosmetic products specifically, skin care, sun and lip care products for men. Lip care products are most widely used by the teenage group. Since product/brand loyalty is established at an early age, manufacturers are counting on the possibility of the teenage segment consumers continuing to use the same products as they grow up.

Sales of Medicated & Therapeutic lip care products, increased significantly in recent years as vendors introduced new products for children and families in different flavors and colors. The segment stood steady even during the recent recession years in 2008-.09 and is forecast to continue at a robust growth pace of over 7% through 2017. In particular, lip medication products that are enriched with vitamins and chemicals witnessing heightened demand, since these provide protection against the harmful emissions of the UV rays. The market for traditional lip care products continues to hold the largest share of the overall market, buoyed by sustained popularity of traditional products such as lip balms, lipsticks, moisturizers and other stylish and fashionable cosmetic and lip protection products. Fruit flavored chapsticks have become the most preferred among lip care products. Aloe lip balms formulated with natural ingredients such as aloe, canolas and coconut oil, and wax of sweet bee are widely being preferred.

Developed markets of Europe and North America continue to be traditional market leaders, capturing a substantial share of the world market, as stated by the new market research report on Lip Care Products. In terms of highest growth potential, Asia-Pacific propelled by the vibrant markets of China, India, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and others is projected to race ahead at the strongest CAGR of 7% over the analysis period. The market for color cosmetics is developing at fast rate in the region and international trends and fashions largely influence consumer buying patterns in the market.

Key players profiled in the report include Avon Products Inc., Bayer Corporation, Beiersdorf AG, Blistex Inc., Blairex Laboratories, Carma Laboratories, Chattem Inc., Clarins SA, GlaxoSmithKline PLC, Johnson & Johnson, Laboratoire Dermophil Indien, L’Oreal SA, Revlon, Rohto Pharmaceuticals Co.
